Since Italy's government for whatever ridiculous reason does not publish electoral data in a machine readable format until months after elections, I made use of the access to a secured json-based system reserved to media outlets to extract everything and convert to csv: https://github.com/giocomai/elezioni_europee_2019_italia_csv

In relation to the Google/Huwaei scandal... I have to say I feel uncomfortable with (unenforceable) notices included even in open source projects such as Fedora (see pic). I suppose it's just their legal departments and everybody understands this is meaningless, and yet, it is a troubling reminder of what depending on a US-based initiative implies. https://social.giorgiocomai.eu/attachment/45802

Come arrivare ad un web basato su effettivo controllo dei dati da parte degli utenti e maggiore apertura e trasparenza? Interoperabilità è parte della risposta. Ma nel lungo periodo, spezzare verticalmente i colossi del web sarà necessario.

In pratica, l'interoperabilità non è cosa semplice: molti sono gli ostacoli tecnici, legali ed economici. Si porrebbero nuove questioni di riservatezza e sicurezza. Ma la democrazia vive di soluzioni complesse e plurali, si indebolisce quando cerca di nascondere le complessità.
