    I have Firefox 66.0.3 on linux. All extensions were gone, with a notice when I started the browser. As soon as I tweaked the about:config param, all were instantly back, without even need for restarting Firefox.

    oh, that's great, it works! I just had a quick look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox FAQ, and such, no mention in the bug report, and didn't dig further... thanks a lot!

    just encountered this issue, what a pain. And now that I see it... mandatory signing, with no option for disabling it? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox
    I can see the point of signing, but not letting people disable it...? disrespectful to the user...
