The Android app #Fedilab allows multiple accounts on multiple Fediverse services (incl. Mastodon, Friendica, PeerTube, Pleroma and GNU Social).

It's now charging for its Google Play version while keeping the F-Droid version free of charge, to encourage people off Google Play.

The Play version has a new address:

France's largest free software organisation @Framasoft has just launched a crowdfunding campaign for an open federated events tool, Mobilizon:

Mobilizon would replace Facebook Events and similar closed services.

It would use ActivityPub, so people would be able to organise events on the Fediverse.

If you're on Mastodon and know the web address of someone on the Fediverse, you can use this to follow them.

1. Copy their profile's web address into the Mastodon search box (see screenshots).

2. Click search, this should bring up a link to the profile and a follow button next to it.

3. Click follow!

This works with many kinds of Fediverse addresses including PixelFed, PeerTube and others. Try it!

You can also use this technique with web addresses of individual posts.

I say this a bit tongue-in-cheek; their models "work" because of the dictatorship they have over a market / environment. Can we even consider/explore something like this for things like moderation?

Moderation is the biggest blocker I get from everyone attempting to switch over to the #fediverse

That said, I'm overdue for a blog post update about #koype and its place in the #fediverse.

I have to be honest with y'all - it's more or less a CMS that's socially inclined, lol.

A year ago, the only person who knew the name of the project besides @dansup was @yabirgb the @anfora developer.

Some might see us as competitors, we see it differently.

Together Anfora and Pixelfed are working to build fediverse features like Federated Filters, Live Streaming and Stories.

It's better when you work together.

That said, I'd want to do this with people. Like maybe a talk show similar to this This Week in Tech (https://twit.tv/shows/this-week-in-tech). People highlighting things that they've seen on the #fediverse / #indieweb and just talking shop.

We've reached a point where we'd like to start #hiring developers to work on the #WriteFreely roadmap 💻 :writefreely2:

This would be remote, contract-based work for now, with a chance to go full-time later in the year (assuming all continues going well). You'd be creating free / open source software.

I'll have more details soon, but especially if you're a #Go / #Golang developer and want to work on a growing #fediverse project, I'd love to hear from you!
