Anyway, federated discussion board sounds like a really awesome idea!

    What Twitter, IG has done to developers & users, and YouTube has done to creators, is make a huge market for alternatives. We are already 10x better.

    - No advertisements
    - Chronological timelines
    - Federation (no silos)
    - No behavioural tracking
    - Developer Friendly APIs

    Yes, indeed. This is how things should work, sites co-operating and complementing each other instead of being closed off.

    There are other sites in development that also using the #ActivityPub standard, such as Reddit alternative @prismo

    Para mi la (presunta) comunidad de !gnusocial la formamos todas. Tanto las personas que desarrollan y mantienen como las que lo utilizamos.

    La respuesta rápida a la pregunta de dónde están las personas que desarrollan (y mantienen) es el canal #social de Freenode en el IRC. Que tiene su puente a la sala xmpp:[email protected]
    No obstante, como es más o menos conocido ni la persona que lo desarrollaba ni la que lo mantiene/mantenía disponen de tiempo y/o fuerzas en este momento para continuarlo.
    Es el problema de que tengamos tan pocas personas dedicadas a trabajar para tantas otras.

    En el lado positivo, este verano @up201705417 y @dansup van a implementar #ActivityPub en #gnusocial.
    Y a mi lo que más me esperanza del proyecto no es la posibilidad de ampliar la federación, que también, sino el hecho de que para ello se tendrán que desbloquear algunas cosas y puede que sea el principio de algo más a largo plazo.

    @eloquence More maintainers is always desirable! Though it's not like they're lining up, as far as I'm aware of .)

    I'd say the state is usable, unlikely to go through major changes (in functionality, but adaptation for #ActivityPub for delivering would be great - but things like federated pseudoprivate messaging or such scoping is unlikely to be implemented since there's no guaranteed way to keep confidentiality).
