PeerTube is an ethical alternative to #YouTube: it has no algorithm, it's open source and decentralised, and gives control over video back to video makers.

It uses a P2P system to spread the load of popular videos, so that publishers don't need data centres to reach a mass audience.

It federates through #ActivityPub, just like Mastodon, PixelFed etc.
