   Calling all #Fediverse admins of instances in the #EU. The #CopyrightDirective is coming, we need to show the MEPs how massively the EU Internets will be affected.

   We are preparing a list of all EU-based #Pleroma, #Mastodon, #GNUSocial, #Peertube, #Funkwhale, and any other instances.

   Please *contact me*. All I need is the domain name, which EU Member State it's located in, and the rough topic of the instance. Approximate user count welcome, but not necessary.

   Please help. This is important.

     The additional thing is that #Fediverse might get a visibility boost (yeah, I said it) from the Europarliament, since we might get featured in a debate at some point.

     It does not matter if your instance is small. It does not matter if your instance is not run for profit.

     You *will* be affected by the #CopyrightDirective.

     Your instance being on this list will help us make that point.

     Appel à tous les admins du #Fediverse qui gèrent des instance dans l'#UE. La #CopyrightDirective se rapproche et nous devons montrer aux parlementaires ses effets sur l'Internet.

     Nous préparons une liste de toutes les instances européennes #Pleroma, #Mastodon, #GNUSocial, #Peertube, #Funkwhale, etc.

     Contactez-moi. Je n'ai besoin que du nom de domaine, du pays et de l'objectif général de l'instance. Un nombre approximatif d'utilisateur est le bienvenu, mais pas indispensable.

     C'est important.

     What occured to me during this whole Fediverse vs. Copyright Directive exercise is that if "platforms" become taxed with Link Tax and burdened with Censorship Machines, masto.host and similar services, allowing for single-user non-profit instances, will completely side-step that crap.

     This is so cool. :)

     Chamando todos os administradores de instâncias do #Fediverse no #EU. A #CopyrightDirective está a chegar, precisamos de mostrar aos eurodeputados como as Internets da UE serão severamente afectadas.

     Preparamos uma lista de todas as instâncias #Pleroma, #Mastodon, #GNUSocial, #Peertube, #Funkwhale, e quaisquer outras.

     Crida a totes les admins d'instàncies #Fediverse a la #EU. La #CopyrightDirective està de camí: necessitem mostrar als parlamentaris com les Internets de la UE quedaran massivament afectades.

     Estem preparant una llista de totes les instàncies a la UE de #Pleroma, #Mastodon, #GNUSocial, #Peertube, #Funkwhale...

     Si us plau, *contacteu-me*. Tot el que necessito és el nom de domini, a quin estat membre de la UE està situat; el nombre aproximat d'usuaris serà benvingut però no necessari.

     NLD: Oproep aan alle Mastodon servers administartors in de EU: we maken een lijst met alle Mastodon, Pleroma en ander fediverse software sites binnen de EU i.v.m. de nieuwe regelgeving ontrendt copyrights

     Neem contact met mij op met de naam van de server en het land waarin deze server zicht bevind. Het aantal gebruikers meetleveren zou fijn zijn, maar is niet verplicht. DIT IS BELANGRIJK!

     Ok, 3h later we have ~140 instances with over half a million registered users.

     Some hosted on @mastohost, some on raspberry-pis at home. Some gynormous, some single-user instances.

     What I like about this is how diverse it is, and how it completely uproots all the assumptions MEP Voss and his ilk have about "platforms".

     Now to make this into good talking points. But that's tomorrow. :)
