Waiting for Traefik 2.0 to become stable before deploying DoT along with DoH. ⌛
And while waiting for this, I decided to add validation to my docker-compose templates:
Feel free to feel inspired for your Ansible roles :)

Just read another article that tries to make a big deal out of missing root passwords in containers.
Did you know you can get rid of all this by simply running your containers with the security option "no-new-privileges"?
This was contributed by project atomic in 2016 and will forbid processes to get more privileges once they are dropped. Including changing their uid.

Oh and it works for the majority of containers straight away.

Automated Mastodon upgrade including database migrations. Nothing overly special, but maybe interesting for people using docker and Ansible.
Nothing feels better than publishing the first release of a thing you made on a Friday night:
Meet docker-backup, a tool to create & restore complete, self-contained backups of #docker containers.
Helps you copy & clone containers to other hosts, as well as managing your daily container backups:
We have our first "Help needed" task on gitlab.
If you feel confident in #docker and want to help with Prismo performance improvement, please have a look here:
Re-uploaded my video to peertube.social and it already finished transcoding!
So again, if you're interested in a bit of #golang, #docker or #backups, find the video here:

There was recently a lot of news about DNS over HTTPS. Some people say it's bad for privacy because it centralizes the DNS requests on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9.
Time to change that and run your own DNS over HTTPS server. I spend some time today in writing, documenting and arranging a small container setup to allow you to do this:
https://octo.sh/container-library/dns-over-https/blob/master/README.md

Let me give you a little bit of my background as well: I'm the current maintainer of #CodiMD, a open source markdown collaboration platform, work with #puppet and #Ansible on a daily basis, founded a local #Docker meetup and give courses about Docker and #git.
I'm running #Fedora and #CentOS all day long and I'm a big friend of #SELinux. But I also don't mind to play on #Ubuntu and make things work there.
Hope those background information helps you to reach out to me :)
@succfemboi If someone contributes support for it, sure!
So far, we decided to focus on #Flatpak for #Linux desktop, #Docker for servers, #Debian debs and #Homebrew for #MacOS to catch as many people as possible with least effort required.
If someone adds support for #Windows, we would highly appreciate this, too!

So, @OCCRP is looking for a Tech Intern for our Sarajevo office. #Linux and #Python experience welcome but not necessary:
https://www.occrp.org/en/occrp-jobs/technology-interns-ongoing
Main focus will be regular intern stuff -- printers, wifi, cables, etc. -- but depending on skills and interests there will be opportunities to play with #docker, tests. Working with fun people on cool stuff included, along with a moderate stipend.
#Docker in few draws http://ift.tt/2oAHFfa
I guess the baseline #IAASAtHome deployment would have to be a VM with #docker running inside, and #Rancher managing it (including high-availability stuff).
That way stuff is nicely separated from whatever else is running on the server and it's possible to manage CPU, RAM, etc, via the hypervisor of choice.
